Allied Aviation History at DAL:

DALStation In 1953, Allied was selected as the project manager for the design, financing, construction, maintenance and operation a new fuel facility at Dallas Love Field. The construction of the new fuel system and hydrant system coincided with the construction of a new passenger terminal that opened in 1957.Allied assisted in the development of the first hydrant carts that were used at Dallas Love Field.

DALFueling Although Dallas Love field has been a major regional airport in the history of the United States, it is now home to Southwest Airlines and has been since 1971. With the opening of Dallas Ft Worth International Airport across town, Southwest Airlines remained the only major reaming airport at that time. Although the airport went through a period of decreased growth because of flight restrictions on commercial flights leaving, Dallas Love field that did not affect flights departing DFW.

 Early in the 21st century, Southwest Airlines made a decision to modernize the fuel storage facility and increase capacity at the airport. by 50%. In addition the new facility has state of the art fuel inventory control systems as well as new more efficient fuel pumps to save energy while being more efficient. Allied worked closely with Southwest Airlines to construct this facility.
