SACRAMENTO AIRPORT (SMF)
Services
Allied Aviation History at SMF:
Allied was awarded the contract to provide into-plane refueling services at Sacramento International Airport in February of 2004. In conjunction with the award of this contract, Allied was also selected to oversee the management, operation and construction of the new fuel facility that was designed to accommodate growth at the airport.
Allied was tasked with transitioning fueling services at the airport from County employees to Allied employees in a 90 day window. Allied was able to procure all fueling equipment, manpower, support equipment and construct temporary offices to start our fueling operations for the entire airport including general aviation. The transition was seamless and we received several commendations from our airline customers, including Fueling Service Provider of the Year 2006 for Southwest Airlines Into-Plane/M&O Operator, in recognition of outstanding on-time performance, safety compliance and superior quality assurance.
The Sacramento Airport Authority anticipates annual passengers that use the airport to exceed the current existing terminal facilities by 2013. Future airport expansion is contemplated to accommodate the additional traffic through an airport wide master plan which includes three phases. The first phase would accommodate a new central check in, and a new terminal B which would be completed by 2013. The second phase would provide mass transit to and from downtown Sacramento by rail. This phase would be completed by the year 2020. The third phase would include a third terminal, and a third runway. This phase is schedule for 2020 and beyond.
